Reading can be a solitary pastime, enjoyed by torchlight in bed, or by candlelight in the bath, or secretly in your lunch break, or among the trees in the park. But it can also be a social activity – when we read together, we go on an adventure together, discovering new worlds, feelings and knowledge, meeting friends and broadening our minds.
With so many amazing writers ready to share their stories, it seems a shame not to enjoy them together.
From 1 May, we’ll be hosting the Bucket List Book Club! Once a month, we’ll choose a book to read together, then we’ll chat about it – online and, if you’re in Amsterdam, in real life. It’s free, so why not sign up?
May’s book is Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie.
